Anjali

Anjali, from Bilba village, defied odds as the only girl among her three brothers. Despite her father’s laborer job and family struggles, she dreamed of empowering village teens through sports.

Initially hesitant, Anjali joined a volleyball program after SAKAR’s Sapna convinced her mom of its benefits. Even with her father’s injury, Anjali’s determination shone through. She saved up for a bike to reach daily practices at the stadium.

Anjali’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience and the impact of supporting young girls’ dreams!

Meet Pallavi, a 14-year-old from Bareilly's Gihar Colony. Despite severe hardships and domestic responsibilities, her dedication to education shines through. With our support, she's breaking barriers and improving her Hindi skills. Education is her path to a brighter future!

Ekta Kishori

Ekta Kishori Center by SAKAR Sanstha in Tanda village empowers Dalit and Muslim girls through education. Since 2017, they have broken barriers. Javrin, joining in 2023, now excels in Hindi, English, and more. Despite financial struggles and her father's injury, she remains dedicated. Intervention from the center ensured she and her sister could continue their education. Javrin's love for art and learning highlights SAKAR Sanstha's transformative impact.

Poorvi

SAKAR has been transforming lives in Bareilly for 18 years, focusing on education for marginalized youth. At just 13, Poorvi, from a challenging background, excels in English and computer skills at a SAKAR center. Despite difficult circumstances, she shows remarkable dedication, arriving daily and sharing her learning with others. Poorvi’s journey is a powerful example of how education can uplift and inspire.

Sanjana

Meet Sanjana, a 15-year-old from Anguri Tanda village. Despite challenges, her passion for learning never waned. With support from SAKAR, she re-enrolled in 10th grade and is prepping for her 2024 exams. She also engages in legal training to uplift her community. Sanjana dreams of becoming a doctor and ensuring education for all girls in her village.

Amina

Amina (name changed) faced severe domestic violence after marriage, fearing repercussions if she spoke out. With courage, she sought help from an organization, advocating for safety and support. Through mediation, her husband agreed to terms ensuring safety and financial support. Now reunited under safer conditions, Amina is grateful for community support.

Chandni

Meet Chandni from Karampur Chaudhary village. Despite challenges, she joined SAKAR Sanstha's Kishori Samuh, determined to pursue education. With support from her sisters and brother, she started studying at a local coaching institute. Now in class 10, Chandni dreams of becoming an IAS officer, inspired by her journey.

Israt

Israt, a 39-year-old from Karampur Chowk, broke free from restrictive traditions through the Meri Panchayat Meri Shakti program. Initially hesitant, she fought for her daughters' education and became an active community leader. Despite domestic challenges, she learned financial skills, became a ward member, and now inspires others in her village.

Morkali

Morkali, a 22-year-old from a poor Hindu family, overcame violence and dowry demands to marry Rajveer. With support from the SAKAR team and police, she fought for her rights, refusing dowry and filing a report against Rajveer. They married on January 29, 2024, and despite challenges, she ultimately moved to his home. Morkali's story is a testament to resilience and advocacy.

Nasreen

Nasreen, a 20-year-old student from Sagalpur with a leg disability, faced neglect and disrespect at Bharat Inter College. Thanks to SAKAR NGO’s intervention, the school staff and students apologized and began supporting her. Introduced to Kishori Samuh, Nasreen gained further empowerment. Now, she enjoys respect and support from her community.

Rama

Rama (name changed to protect the identity), 26, faced challenges after her parents' death and lacked support from her family. In Haryana, she was misled by Kishore, who coerced her into abortions with false marriage promises. Back in her village and pregnant, Rama turned to the Kishori Group and SAKAR Sanstha for help. With their support, and police intervention, Kishore agreed to a court marriage on March 18, 2023. Rama’s case highlights the power of advocacy and legal action in securing justice.

Ruksar

Meet Ruksar from Majhaua, Gangapur—an 18-year-old inspiring change despite challenges. Joining "Meri Panchayat Meri Shakti," she bravely fought dowry abuse, ensuring justice for her sister in Bareilly. Ruksar secured ration cards for ten villagers, engaged in local governance, and overcame community resistance to help Ram Pyari rebuild her home. Her courage and dedication shine as she prepares for higher education, proving that unity creates lasting change.

Sabina

After losing her husband and moving back to her parental home, Sabina found solace in sewing and family support. The "Meri Panchayat Meri Shakti" program empowered her to overcome isolation and build confidence. With strong community backing, Sabina ran for Panchayat Pradhan and won, becoming the first female leader in 15 years. Now, she’s a dynamic force in her Panchayat, showing the true impact of community support!

Nisha

Nisha, 16, from Bilba village, faced initial resistance from her mother to join volleyball games. With support from the SAKAR Sanstha team, who explained the benefits of sports, her mother eventually agreed. Nisha now plays both locally and at the stadium, reflecting the power of community support and advocacy
