This program aims to strengthen the political leadership of women. The women, some of whom are a part of the mahila shakti sangathan are ward members and BDC members in the present local governance. Capacity building of these women is important so that they do not remain proxy panchayat leaders. To support these women our intervention also focuses on building capacity of self help groups. With an intensive approach the work is with 30 women elected representatives as well as 30 self help groups. Along with enhancing the political leadership of women, the focus is also on reproductive health of women. The beneficiaries are being capacitated on leadership and reproductive health of women. Various IEC material like Ludo, business, case studies, flip charts and posters are being used to make the sessions informative and interesting.
