Ever since SAKAR’s inception we are in the process of empowering women economically and for this we have been engaged in facilitating self help groups of women. It was just last year that we got support and since then have formed facilitated 90 self help groups. The process in on and women now have some control over their money. Some of the groups have been linked with the NRLM scheme of the government as well. The women have done inter loaning and also taken loan from the bank and opened shops, reared goat, used in their fields, purchased auto etc and contributed to the income of the family.
